Uttarakhand / Rudrapur : Kidnapped to pay debt, now had to go to jail

Four people accused of kidnapping a four-year-old innocent and demanding a ransom of Rs 15 lakh were sent to jail on Monday. The four accused involved in the incident are now repenting. The main accused Shafi says that he had a huge debt. Those who took money used to put pressure on him in various ways.
Shafi says that he used to invest Rs. Due to this, he had a debt of about 30 lakh rupees. He had paid around Rs 23 lakh by selling four shops. There was a loan balance of only seven lakh rupees. If Shafi had worked patiently and complained to the police, he would have got some time to repay the loan and today he would have avoided going to jail, but he committed the crime under pressure from those who took money. Shafi also ruined three more lives with him.

Shafi told that after kidnapping the girl, he had dropped her in the house of his female friend, a resident of Banbhulpura, Chhoti. The girl had eaten lentils and rice in the night. The next day the girl was dressed in other clothes as well. Shafi is also survived by wife and children. The Kotwali police produced four accused Shafi, Shahrukh, Firoz and Choti in the court from where they were sent to jail in judicial custody.
