Himachal HC Justice’s daughter Sippy Sidhu arrested in murder case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken major action in connection with the murder of national level shooter Sukhmanpreet Singh alias Sippy Sidhu in Chandigarh six years ago. The CBI on Wednesday arrested Kalyani, the daughter of a serving Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. Who is an assistant professor in a PG college in Chandigarh. In fact, on 20 September 2015, Sukhmanpreet Singh alias Sippy Sidhu was shot dead and his body was found in a park in Chandigarh Sector 27. Sukhmanpreet Singh was the grandson of SS Sidhu, former Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The CBI said in a statement that the central agency had registered an FIR on April 13, 2016 on the request of the Chandigarh Administration in connection with the murder of Sidhu, who was also a lawyer. It said that during further investigation the alleged involvement of the accused (Kalyani Singh) in the case came to light. He was interrogated and arrested. A CBI spokesperson said that the accused was produced in the court of Special Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh today (Wednesday) which remanded him to four days police custody.

What is the matter
In fact, national level shooter Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu was shot by unidentified persons in a park in Sector 27 on the night of September 20, 2015. Her family alleged that the daughter of a former woman judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court was involved in the murder. The case was transferred to the CBI in 2016, about three and a half months after the murder.
Case hanging for three years
Three years after the sensational murder of national level shooter Sukhmanpreet Singh alias Sippy Sidhu, the case hangs. The relatives of the deceased allege that the Chandigarh Police has shown reluctance to solve the case. The victim’s brother Jippy Sidhu said that they are still struggling to get justice after three years. He alleged that the senior officer of Chandigarh Police has taken all possible measures to protect the people involved.
