Due to the scorching heat that has been falling for some time, even a small spark in the forests is causing a big fire. One such incident happened on Wednesday night when a sudden fire broke out in the bushes located around the Mansa Devi Pedestrian Road, which took a horrific form in no time. After getting information about the fire, the people living nearby and the employees of Rajaji Tiger Reserve Administration reached the spot and brought the fire under control after hard work in time.
Due to the heat and the strong storm that was blowing from above on Wednesday night, a spark took a formidable form. Suddenly the fire broke out on the Mansa Devi walkway in such a way that in no time it engulfed a large part. People living near the footpath, seeing the fire in the forest, informed the Rajaji Tiger Reserve administration.
After getting information, the employees of the Tiger Reserve, who reached the spot immediately, with the help of local people, controlled the rapidly spreading fire. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control in the night itself, otherwise it could have caused a lot of damage to the forest wealth due to the strong storm and heat.
At the same time, even today the team of Rajaji Tiger Reserve Administration is busy in making fire lines in some areas. Because at this time most of the dry leaves and sticks break and fall down and this is the biggest reason for the fire.
