Violence in Palwal against Agneepath, sabotage-firing after arson; Delhi-Jaipur highway jam in Gurugram
The flames of the agitation, which started from Bihar, have reached Haryana in protest against the Agneepath scheme for four years of service in the army. In Gurugram and Palwal also youth are creating ruckus. In Palwal, the protesters pelted stones at the police and set vehicles on fire after vandalizing them. The DC office was also vandalised. There are also reports of aerial firing from the police to disperse the crowd. On the other hand, the Delhi-Jaipur highway has been completely blocked in Gurugram. A large number of policemen deployed at both the places are engaged in controlling the situation.
Policemen injured in violence, jammed on the highway
Violent protest is going on in Palwal against Agneepath scheme. The protesters torched several vehicles with stones pelting the police. Several police personnel received serious injuries. The protesters gathered near the Deputy Commissioner’s residence at around 11:00 am and blocked the national highway. After the blockade, slogans were raised against the government.
Media is also targeted along with the police
Heavy police force was present on the spot, after some time the police lathi-charged the protesting youth and the youth also started pelting stones there. The police gypsy was set on fire. Many policemen were injured during this. Angry protesters also pelted stones at media personnel. Due to which the journalists had to shut themselves in the media center near the national highway.

Delhi-Jaipur highway jammed in Gurugram
In Gurugram too, protesters are spreading chaos on the streets. Delhi-Jaipur highway has been blocked in Bilaspur. The youth who have been jammed since 9:00 am are demanding that the Agneepath scheme be withdrawn. K Gurugram Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena and other officers including SDM are making every effort to persuade them. But the youth are adamant about their demand, the jam was not opened till 1:00 pm, due to which there has been a huge jam on the highway. Thousands of vehicles are standing in the queue. Vehicles are jammed from Pachgaon to Bilaspur.
