Rajasthan : Now Janta Clinic will open in Kota like Mohalla Clinic in Delhi, these facilities will be available free of cost along with medicines

On the lines of Mohalla Clinic in Delhi, now preparations have been made to start Janata Clinic in Kota as well. For this 8 places have been marked. The state government had announced Janta Clinic in the budget three years ago. Due to Kovid, the plan went into cold storage, now on the instructions of higher officials, a fresh exercise has been started regarding it.
Janta clinic will run in rented building
All the CMHOs of the state have been directed that Janta Clinics should be made functional soon. Under this, preparations are being made to run these clinics at 8 places in Kota. CMHO Dr. BS Tanwar and NHM’s DPM Narendra Verma have also taken a meeting of the concerned medical officers. All the in-charges have marked the houses for rent in their respective areas. Now the assessment of their rent is being done by PWD.
142 public clinics were to be opened in the first phase
In the first phase, 142 Janta Clinics were to be opened across Rajasthan, out of which only 15 have been opened. Of these, 12 are open in Jaipur alone and 3 clinics are operating in Banswara and Jalore. Apart from this, these clinics have not started in any district of the state. Since this is a part of the CM’s budget announcement, now the officials have swung into action and are claiming to make all the clinics approved in the first phase functional in the next one or two months.
Team of 7 employees including doctor
One doctor, one staff nurse, ANM, GNM, pharmacist, support staff and sweeper will be deployed here at Janata Clinic. Their appointment will be done through District Health Committee and Placement Agency. Each clinic will cover a population of about 20 thousand people, priority will be given to kutcha settlements. Each clinic will be affiliated to the nearest PHC or CHC, so that from the administrative point of view, the arrangements can be run smoothly.
All medicines of free medicine scheme will be available
In the initial phase, 8 types of tests can be done at these clinics. This includes Hemoglobin, Malaria and Dengue Card Test, Blood Sugar, VDRL Rapid Test, HIV Card Test, Urine Albumin Sugar, Urine Pregnancy Test. Apart from this, essential medicines included in the government’s free medicine scheme will also be available here.
Janata clinics will open at these places in Kota
In Kota, Premnagar III, Sursagar, Manpura, Kailashpuri, Punam Colony, Gobaria Bawdi, Naya Nohra, Shivpura, Hazira Basti.
