Encounter still going on in Kulgam, a Lashkar terrorist arrested in Bandipora
Two terrorists have been killed in an encounter by security forces in Mir Bazar of Nawapora in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces had received information about the hiding of terrorists in the area. After this, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces started a joint operation, the encounter is still going on. The place where the encounter is taking place is very close to the Amarnath Yatra. Both the terrorists killed were members of Lashkar-e-Taiba and were locals.
Security forces have arrested a Lashkar terrorist in another operation in Nadihal area of Bandipora. After this the security forces destroyed the terrorist hideout, the drone footage of which has surfaced.
On June 27, a terrorist was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces in a joint operation. The terrorist was identified as Farid Ahmed, a resident of Koti Doda area. Security forces also recovered a Chinese pistol, two magazines, 14 live cartridges and a phone from Farid’s possession. The terrorist was trying to carry out the incident of target killing in the valley. According to sources, his target was a policeman. A few days ago, 7 terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar and Jaish were killed by security forces in Tulibal area of Sopore district. Actually, the team got the input of the terrorists hiding in the area, on which the security forces surrounded the area and started the operation. During this, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. After this, the security personnel killed 7 terrorists in separate encounters.
