Uttarakhand / Champawat : Four rural roads are running closed in district
Four rural roads remain closed in Champawat district. This has affected the daily routine of hundreds of people here. These roads were covered with debris due to rain last Wednesday night.
Four roads remained closed in Champawat on Thursday due to rain. According to the information received from the District Disaster Control Room, the Kalukhan-Gurauli and Painti Phoongar roads of Champawat Public Works Department were closed due to debris. A large amount of debris came in the Raunsal-Dungrabora-Kyle-Matiani road of PMGSY Champawat and Gallagaon-Devalmafi road of Lonivi Lohaghat on Thursday morning. Due to this the vehicular movement came to a standstill on all the four roads. Hundreds of people here had to face problems due to the closure of the road. Many villagers could not come to the market to buy goods. The District Disaster Control Room informed that JCB has been engaged in the work of opening all the roads.
