Demand to withdraw remarks made on Nupur Sharma from Supreme Court, new petition filed
Social activist Ajay Gautam has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. In which Gautam has demanded the Supreme Court to withdraw the remarks made for Nupur Sharma during the hearing. In the petition sent to the CJI, it has been said that Nupur’s life is in danger due to this. The Supreme Court, while making a scathing remark, said that Nupur Sharma should publicly apologize to the country on TV. His statement is also responsible for the Udaipur incident.
On Friday, a petition was filed on behalf of Nupur Sharma in the Supreme Court. In which it was demanded that the cases registered against him are registered in different parts of the country. Because his life is in danger, so his case should be transferred to Delhi. But the Supreme Court expressed displeasure and said that it had to be filed in the High Court first.
Get chance for fair trial
Now a new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court. The petition filed by social activist Ajay Gautam has demanded that the Supreme Court’s observation should be withdrawn while hearing the Nupur Sharma case. It has been argued in the petition that there is a threat to the life of Nupur Sharma. They should get a chance for fair trial.
Nupur Sharma apologizes on TV
The Supreme Court had reprimanded Nupur Sharma, saying that due to one of her statements, the atmosphere got spoiled. Nupur Sharma delayed apologizing and it is because of her that unfortunate incidents have happened. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and J B Pardiwala refused to entertain Sharma’s plea to club together the FIRs lodged in different states for the remarks against the Prophet. He was allowed to withdraw the petition. With this Nupur Sharma withdrew her application from the court.
