Kolkata Police had registered a case against Nupur Sharma under several sections for making controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. In these cases, several notices have been issued to Nupur Sharma to appear before the police. Despite the notice of appearance, Nupur Sharma has not yet registered her presence in front of the police. A lookout notice was issued on Saturday against Nupur Sharma, a former spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who failed to appear before the authorities four times.

Kolkata did not reach despite several summons

After Sharma’s remarks, there were violent protests in many areas of West Bengal. Stones were also pelted on trains. The official associated with the case said that Sharma failed to appear on the summons issued by the officers of Amherst Street and Narkeldanga police stations. A lookout notice was issued against Nupur Sharma on Saturday after she failed to appear before the authorities despite being summoned several times.

Nupur Sharma had asked for time

He told that summons have been issued to Sharma twice from both the police stations. The summons were issued against Sharma after a case was registered in both the police stations last month. Sharma had feared an attack on him during his visit to Kolkata and sought four weeks’ time to appear before the police officials.
