According to the information received from the police, Veena Devi, her mother Seema Verma and nephew were present in the house. At around three o’clock in the night, three armed miscreants entered inside by cutting through the door. They locked both the women and the child in the room and robbed the jewellery.

On the other hand, miscreants carried out the theft incident in a house late on Friday night in Baniyawala. In a house near Gorakhpur Chowk, women were locked in their rooms and robbed of jewellery. The theft also took place at the house of a young man named Nitin, a short distance away from Gorakhpur Chowk. There has been a stir in the city since the incident.

Nitin told the police in the morning that a box had also been stolen from his house. He found this box lying in the field. He did not know at what time the incident happened. He was in deep sleep.
