Jammu and Kashmir: Army operation in Kulgam, two terrorists surrender in encounter

Two terrorists have surrendered in an encounter between Indian Army and terrorists in Hadigam area of Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. It was told that based on the input, the terrorists were surrounded and search operation was carried out in the entire area. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the encounter took place in Hadigam area of Kulgam. Along with the security forces, the Jammu and Kashmir Police also remained on the spot. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition have been recovered from both the terrorists.
Actually, according to the information, the army had received such inputs that terrorists are hiding in Hadigam area of Kulgam. Based on the same input, an army contingent reached there and the terrorists started firing. After this the encounter of the army with the terrorists has started. Two terrorists were surrounded on the spot and they surrendered.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted that during the encounter, two local terrorists surrendered on the appeal of their parents and the police. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition have been recovered from them.

Let us inform that in the midst of increasing cases of target killing in Jammu and Kashmir, the army is continuously encountering terrorists and a large number of terrorists’ commanders and terrorists have been killed. According to statistics, till June 2022, 130 terrorists have been killed by the army. While 20 civilians and 19 security forces personnel have been killed during this period.
