US citizens cheated by running fake cyber call center in Bengaluru, 6 accused arrested from Gujarat
In Karnataka, the Whitefield Police of Bangalore has arrested 6 people from Gujarat for running fake cyber call centers and duping people. DCP S Girish said that 127 laptops, 150 headphones, 10 internal hard disks, six Apple phones, three cars, two school vans, one TT vehicle and Rs 18 lakh in cash have been seized from their possession.
S Girish said that both Ethical Infotech Pvt Ltd and Gayatri Tech Park, Bengaluru based companies in Whitefield were running an organized fake cyber call center which duped hundreds of people through fake calls. The callers primarily targeted US citizens.
