Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : Punjab – Delhi filled with tourist car in Ramnagar, 9 killed, one girl’s life saved
An Ertiga car number PBOIC 6089 ran into a strong current of water in Ramnagar Dhela village of Nainital district at around 5 am on Thursday. There were 10 people in it. The car rider was from Patiala in Punjab. According to officials, the accident happened due to the negligence of the driver. After the incident, DM Dhiraj Gabyal, SSP Pankaj Bhatt inspected the incident site after reaching Cut Cobbler and inquired about the people.

Ten people were coming towards Ramnagar from Corbett Small Town Resort located in Dhela village of Ramnagar at five o’clock in the morning from Artika car number PV 01C 6089. Due to the early rain, about eight kilometers before Ramnagar, the water of the forest came on the road at Dela (Tapata) Rokhd. The car was thrown into the help of water by the driver Anadeep, at some distance, the car was swept away and overturned just feet from the road. The flow was so much that even after overturning the car, water was flowing over it. Meanwhile, the driver of the car in Putdi village Niwali Nazia got out safely by breaking the glass. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. People descended into the river to rescue the car riders.
People first took out the bodies of four people including a woman. Five bodies were retrieved two hours later. The dead bodies were reached by SDM Gaurav Chatwal, Tehsildar Bipin Pant, unsurpassed Tehsildar Dayal Mishra. After a long time the bodies were taken to the mortuary by ambulance. Police was busy in informing the relatives of the deceased about the incident, the post-mortem of the dead bodies was done. Police told that due to which the deceased was registered in the name of Amandeep. Waiting for the arrival of the relatives of the dead.

Driver’s Negligence
The DM said that in conversation with the people, it came to light that the accident happened due to the negligence of the car driver. The villagers also forbade the driver not to enter the water. The driver still put the car in the water. Due to which this accident happened. There are many slips on the way. Drivers should be careful. The relatives of the dead have left for Ramnagar
