PM Modi unveils the national emblem made in the new Parliament House
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled the national emblem on the roof of the new Parliament House. The emblem, made of bronze, weighs 9,500 kg and is 6.5 meters in height, officials said.
He told that it has been built on top of the new Parliament House and a steel structure of about 6,500 kg has been constructed around it to support the symbol. During this, Modi also interacted with the workers engaged in the construction work of Parliament House.
He said that the work of installing the National Emblem on the roof of the new Parliament House was completed in eight different phases. This includes making models from clay, creating computer graphics and polishing bronze figures.
