Uttar Pradesh : After Hyderabad, hoardings of ‘Bye Bye Modi’ now in Prayagraj
On the midnight of Friday in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, some chaotic elements put up hoardings against the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. However, after getting the information, the police removed this hoarding with the help of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation.
People informed the police
Large hoardings with messages against PM Narendra Modi were allegedly put up by unidentified miscreants on the main road near the Reserve Police Line. When the people coming there, including a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha (BJPYM), were immediately informed to the police, after which these hoardings were removed on Saturday. Till Sunday morning, there was no clue as to which chaotic elements were behind the hoardings, nor has any FIR been registered in connection with the incident.
BJP in action
According to a report, Amit Saran, the vice president of Vishwavidyalaya Mandal BJP Yuva Morcha, was passing through the road when he saw the hoardings and informed its president Aman Kesarwani, after which the matter was immediately reported to the police emergency helpline number 112 and a team of police reached the spot. These hoardings were removed between 8.30 am and 9 am. Vishwavidyalaya Mandal BJP Yuva Morcha President Aman Kesarwani will soon apply to the Colonelganj police station to register an FIR in this regard.
Prayagraj ADM confirmed the matter
SHO Vishwajit Singh of Colonelganj police station has told that an FIR will be registered after receiving a complaint in this regard. ADM (City) Madan Kumar confirmed the incident and said that the hoardings were removed with the help of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PNN – Prayagraj Nagar Nigam) officials.
What was in these hoardings
The hoardings had the hashtag #ByeByeModi and included issues like repealed agricultural laws, contract jobs, rising cost of cooking gas, etc. The hoardings read: ‘You have killed many farmers during your protest against agricultural laws’, and ‘the dreams of youth have been killed by contract jobs’. It also depicts a caricature of PM Modi, next to which is a gas cylinder costing ₹1105.
Similar incident happened in Hyderabad too
It is noteworthy that a meeting of the BJP’s national executive was to be held in Hyderabad from July 2 to July 3. Similar hoardings were put up a few days before the sit-in, i.e. in the last days of June, and on June 29, the workers of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board had to be removed on the instructions of the Begumpet police.
