Truth and Reality

Short circuit is bound to happen, PM Modi cautions on promises like free electricity; Whom to target?

While warning the people of the country from doing politics of shortcuts. While cautioning people from promises like free electricity-free bus travel, PM Modi said that such promises only paup the public one day. He also said that the shortcuts are bound to be short circuited.

Describing the politics of shortcuts as a challenge for the country, PM Modi said, “It is very easy to get votes from people by making populist promises. Those who take shortcuts do not have to work hard, nor do they have to think about far-reaching consequences. But it is a big truth that the country whose politics is based on shortcuts, one day it also gets short circuited. Shortcut politics destroys the country. In India we have to stay away from such politics. If we want India to reach new heights, then we have to be the culmination of hard work. The result of the shortcut is that many countries that became independent along with India have gone ahead.

Referring to the importance of electricity in the lives of common people, PM Modi said that if there is no electricity, then the mobile will not be charged, neither will the TV work. If the tank is built, tap is installed, if there is no electricity, then the tank will not be filled, water will not come, food will not be prepared. Today electricity has become so powerful. Everything is connected with electricity. If there is no electricity, then in the evening, you will have to stay in the light of the box. Employment opportunities and factories will be closed.

‘This method is going to take the country backward’
PM Modi said, “But electricity is not generated by shortcuts. People of Jharkhand know that power plants have to be set up to generate electricity. Thousands of crores have to be invested. With this investment new jobs are also created, new opportunities are created. The political parties who adopt short cut, they spend all the money of this investment to entertain the public. This method is going to stop the development of the country. It is going to take the country back decades. I urge all the countrymen to avoid this politics.

Such politics paupers the public: Modi
Those who do politics of shortcuts will never build new airports, they will not build new and modern highways. They will never build new AIIMS. New medical colleges will never be built in every district. Today, in Jharkhand, the foundation stone of new roads worth thousands of crores has been laid and inaugurated. It is easy for someone to say that from now onwards there will be no bus ticket or auto-rickshaw charges in Jharkhand. It sounds great to hear. But this shortcut makes people pauper one day. When the money will not come with the government, then from where will it get new roads built? Where will the new highway be built? Therefore, the people of Jharkhand also need to avoid such people.
