Demand to give ‘Bharat Ratna’ to Karpuri Thakur

Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to confer Bharat Ratna on former Bihar Chief Minister late Karpoori Thakur. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi made this demand in his brief address at the centenary celebrations of the assembly complex here. At the event, the former deputy CM also urged Modi that a school should be opened in Bihar to study legislative business, where Vaishali has the “oldest republic in the world”.
