Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Due to lightning, cracks in many houses, electrical equipment blew up

In Shyampur Gumaniwala, there was a stir among the local citizens due to lightning. About 10 to 15 houses have been damaged due to lightning.

However, there was no casualty due to this accident. But the residents are in panic after this incident. Electricity equipment of many houses was burnt, some houses have cracks.

It rained heavily in the number six street of Shyampur Gumaniwala at three o’clock on Friday evening. Meanwhile, lightning struck many houses here with a loud sound. The walls of the houses were damaged due to lightning. Along with this, the electricity meters and electrical switch boards installed in the houses have been burnt.

Local resident Gaurav Singh says that all the plugs in his house have exploded due to lightning in the midst of rain. Along with this, the electricity meter installed in his house has also been burnt. Told that there has been a short circuit in the wiring of his entire house.

This has happened not only in his house, but in about 10 to 15 houses nearby. He told that the fridge and TV installed in many houses have also been damaged.

At the same time, the team of Energy Corporation reached the spot. District Panchayat member Sanjeev Chauhan of Shyampur reached the spot and took stock of the damage.
