Before the monsoon session of Parliament, the government called an all-party meeting, Congress asked – why did not PM Modi come?

The monsoon session of Parliament is about to begin. Earlier, an all-party meeting has been called by the government to discuss this. This meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Rajnath Singh on Sunday. Many leaders of Congress including many BJP leaders are also present in the meeting. The meeting is being held in the old building of Parliament House in Delhi. This time the monsoon session of Parliament is starting from July 18, in which 24 bills will be introduced.

PM Modi did not reach the meeting, Congress raised the question

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh raised the question after PM Modi did not reach the all-party meeting and tweeted asking if it was not unparliamentary. Jairam Ramesh wrote in his tweet, ‘All party meeting to discuss the upcoming session of Parliament has just begun and PM is absent as usual is it not ‘unparliamentary’?

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Jairam Ramesh, DMK leaders TR Baalu, TMC leaders Sudip Bandopadhyay, Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut, NCP leaders Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and many other opposition leaders are present. Along with this, leaders of TDP, SP, BSP, CPM, RSP, RJD are also present in the meeting.

Lok Sabha Speaker has appealed

Before the start of the monsoon session, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had already told the members of Parliament that there would be a total of 18 sittings in the monsoon session and the entire session would be of 108 hours. He has urged the members to cooperate in maintaining the decency, dignity and discipline of the House.

Opposition parties have already said that issues related to unemployment, Agneepath scheme and farmers should be discussed in this monsoon session.
