Uttarakhand : Harela festival celebrated in CM residence, Geeta Dhami, wife of CM Dhami planted saplings, presented plants to minister-MLA wives
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated Harela festival at the Chief Minister’s residence with family traditional rituals. On the auspicious occasion of Harela, the wives of ministers and legislators planted fruit-bearing and shady plants in the Chief Minister’s residence complex. Tree plantation will be done on a large scale in the state from July 16 to August 15, 2022.
On this occasion, Mrs. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Mrs. Nirmala Joshi, Dr. Deepa Rawat, Mrs. Shashiprabha Agarwal, Mrs. Babita Pundir, Mrs. Shashi Chamoli, Mrs. Subodhini Sharma, Mrs. Kusum Gairola, Mrs. Anita Das and Mrs. Hemlata Gadiya presented fruits and vegetables of different species. Shady plants were planted.
Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami also presented saplings to the wives of ministers and legislators as a gift on the occasion of Harela festival. He said that this holy festival, full of the confluence of culture and nature, makes all of us aware of our duties towards environmental protection.
