Huge fall in the price of edible oil
The prices of edible oil are coming down. In the last days also, an announcement has been made by the oil companies to reduce the price. Now once again the edible oil company Adani Wilmar, which sells the product under the Fortune brand, has said to reduce the rate after the international oil prices are low. An announcement was made by the company to cut the prices of edible oil by up to Rs 30 per liter.
The biggest cut in soybean oil
The biggest reduction has been made in the prices of soybean oil. The consignment with new prices will reach the market soon. Earlier, Mother Dairy, which sells edible oil under the Dhara brand, had cut prices of soybean and rice bran oil by Rs 14 per litre. The Food Ministry had called a meeting on 6 July to discuss the prices of edible oil. During this, all edible oil companies were instructed to pass on the benefits of the fall in prices globally to the customers.
Customers got the benefit of deduction
In a statement, the company said, “In view of the global reduction in prices and the government’s efforts to pass on the benefits of reduction in edible oil prices to the customers, Adani Wilmar has further reduced the prices of edible oil.” Prices were reduced last month also.
165 rupees per liter soybean oil
Fortune soybean oil price has been reduced from Rs 195 per liter to Rs 165 per litre. The price of sunflower oil has been reduced from Rs 210 per liter to Rs 199 per litre. The maximum retail price of mustard oil has been reduced from Rs 195 per liter to Rs 190 per litre.
The price of Fortune Rice Bran oil has been reduced from Rs 225 per liter to Rs 210 per litre. Angshu Malik, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adani Wilmar said, “We have passed on the benefits of reduction in prices to consumers globally and the new consignment will reach the market soon.”
