Madhya Pradesh : Second accident in four days in Ratlam, 16 wagons of goods train derailed; Delhi-Mumbai rail route affected

The second major train accident in Ratlam Railway Division has been averted in four days. Now a goods train has been derailed on the Delhi Mumbai track. Due to which the Delhi-Mumbai rail route has been disrupted. The ART team was dispatched to the spot only after the late night incident. The ART team is trying to start the operation of the disrupted Delhi-Mumbai rail route by derailing the coaches. More than two dozen trains have been diverted after the accident. In which trains like Rajdhani and Avantika are also included.

16 coaches of goods train derailed between Mangalmahudi – Limkheda coming near Meghnagar station of Ratlam Railway Division. The Delhi-Mumbai main rail line has been disrupted due to the incident at 12:48 pm. Due to the horrific accident, the electric line of the railway was also broken and the poles were also uprooted. Ratlam Railway Division officials have started the work of removing the derailed coaches by reaching the ART team on the spot at 5:30 am. It is suspected that the incident happened due to rain. After the incident, DRM Vineet Gupta also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. According to ADRM, there was no loss of life or property in the incident. The real cause of the accident will be known only after investigation.

These 30 trains were affected

Due to derailment of goods train between Mangalmahudi – Limkheda, up and down lines have been blocked. Due to which the trains operating on this route are being run on the changed route. The routes of these trains have been changed till 8 am.

The boxes were derailed on Friday too

Let us tell you that earlier on Friday evening, train number 19329 Virbhoomi Express going from Indore to Udaipur had stopped at Ratlam station. Here the run round means the engine of the car had to be changed. During this process, two coaches of the train derailed. There were passengers in both these coaches but fortunately no passenger was hurt. The speed of the train was very low. So a big accident was averted.
