It is not that this matter is not in the notice of the responsible authorities. Additional Secretary and Director of Medical Education Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava has inspected last month. Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has also taken stock of the matter. Local legislators are also aware. Despite this, there is no improvement.

30 to 40 patients return disappointed every day

In STH, more than 1500 patients reach OPD every day. More than 350 patients are admitted at a time. Ultrasound examination of 30 to 40 patients used to be done every day. In 125 days, 3750 people would have got tested. There are more number of poor in it. Despite this, patients are forced to get expensive tests done in private diagnostic centers.

Interviewed twice, but not found radiologist

Walk-in-interview was conducted twice by the Medical College since May. Still no radiologist found. In the first interview, a radiologist had applied for the post of Assistant Professor. Got selected but didn’t join. No radiologist was found in this interview.

Base Hospital radiologists went on leave, alternative arrangements
