In this, in the year 2019, 1,44,017 people gave up citizenship, while in 2020, 85,256 Indians and in the year 2021, 1,63,370 citizens have left their country and their citizenship. According to government data, between 2019 and 2021, 1,70,795 Indians have been given citizenship by the US in their country. In this, America has given citizenship to 61,683 Indians in the year 2019, 30,828 Indians in the year 2020 and 78,284 Indians in the year 2021.

Apart from leaving India and settling in America, there are some other countries, where Indian citizens have renounced the citizenship of their country and accepted the citizenship there. Talking about these countries, in Australia, 58,391 citizens have accepted citizenship in three years, 64,071 in Canada, 35,435 in Britain, 6,690 in Germany, 12,131 in Italy, 8,882 in New Zealand and 48 in Pakistan. However, the government has not given any reason why such a large number of people have left their country. People turn to developed countries of the world in search of better life and employment, but it is astonishing that why 48 Indians have left the country and accepted the citizenship of Pakistan!
