Maharashtra : Uddhav Thackeray advises PM Modi to be cautious with Eknath Shinde

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is facing the challenge of maintaining a hold on his party Shiv Sena these days. Recently, he had to leave the post of CM after the rebellious attitude of the MLAs led by Eknath Shinde. Meanwhile, he has given an interview to Sanjay Raut for the party mouthpiece Saamana. In this, he has presented his side on many issues. He has also talked about Shinde, Fadnavis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Uddhav Thackeray expressed surprise over Fadnavis not becoming CM. He said, “Why BJP treated Devendra Fadnavis like this, it is beyond my understanding too, but it is okay. It is an internal matter of his party. Loyalty old acquaintances of his party, many leaders involved in the war with us at that time are in touch with me even today. But he is sincerely with the BJP. I don’t want to create such misunderstanding about him that he has to come with Shiv Sena. I would not even make such a false claim unnecessarily. But they are not digesting the current situation. Still, they are doing BJP’s work sincerely.”

On making Eknath Shinde the CM, Uddhav Thackeray said, “Everything was given to outsiders here. Outsiders were made to sit on their heads. At that time an outsider as the Leader of the Opposition in the Upper House. Now people from outside have been appointed on other posts including Chief Minister, yet they are working sincerely.

Uddhav Thackeray warns PM
Uddhav Thackeray said, ‘Every sin fills the pot. Tomorrow this sir (Eknath Shinde) will consider himself as Narendra Bhai Modi and claim the post of Prime Minister. BJPmen beware!’ Uddhav Thackeray further said, ‘The use of Mahavikas Aghadi was not wrong. People had welcomed. Many tears were shed in Maharashtra while leaving the rain. Which Chief Minister has got such love? I will not let those tears go in vain.

Didn’t trust Congress?
On the question of floor test, Uddhav Thackeray said, “I was constantly made to feel that Congress will cheat and Pawar saheb cannot be trusted at all. He will bring you down, everyone used to say that. Ajit used to come to me and speak about Pawar too. Although I was betrayed by my own people. Then even a person in the House had voted against me, it would have been a shame for me.

Uddhav said, “Even if he had said it right at the last moment, everything would have been done in a respectful manner. At the very last moment also I had asked these betrayers that do you want to become the Chief Minister? Alright, let’s talk. We will talk to the Congress-Nationalist. If you want to go with the BJP, then let the BJP answer these two-three questions. Well, let me tell the Congress nationalist that my people are not ready to live happily with you, but they did not have that much courage. There was no reason and no one. New reasons are emerging every day.

Was Uddhav ready to quit the chief minister’s post?
In response to this question, he said, “I had no desire to accept the post of Chief Minister. But at that time he did it out of a stubbornness, I did not become the Chief Minister voluntarily, but became the Chief Minister due to a stubbornness. With the help of that stubbornness, I did the work in my own way for two and a half years.
