The ropeway to be built between Dehradun and Mussoorie has also removed the barrier to the height of the terminal. In the cabinet meeting, giving relief in the bylaws of construction, permission was given to build the terminal up to the prescribed height.
Actually, the construction of ropeway between Dehradun and Mussoorie has been given all the permission from the government level. Due to the height and length of the ropeway, tall terminals have to be built in it. But according to the bylaws, the terminal cannot be built at such a height.
Due to this, the construction of the ropeway was getting hampered. Giving information about the cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu said that the relaxation in the bylaws has been approved in the meeting. After this, terminals of fixed height can be made for the ropeway.
Doon-Mussoorie journey will be completed in 15 minutes
The proposed ropeway from Dehradun to Mussoorie will be the second largest ropeway in Asia. The length of the ropeway will be 5.5 km. Which is just a hundred meters less than the length of 5.7 km of Hong Kong’s Gongping ropeway. With the construction of this ropeway, you will reach Mussoorie from Doon in just 15-18 minutes. With this, along with the traffic in Mussoorie, it will be accessible to the commuters from a safe environmental point of view.
