Karnataka BJP leader 2 arrested in murder, Praveen’s mother said – hang the killers

BJP leader Praveen Nettar was hacked to death with an ax in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday. Praveen was the district secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha. On Thursday, Mangalore police arrested two more accused Shafiq Bellare and Zakir Savanuru. Regarding the 21 suspects taken into custody for questioning in this case, the police say that all of them are related to PFI and SDPI.

CM canceled the programs of the first anniversary of the government
The Karnataka government is facing criticism from within the party over the murder. In view of this, the Chief Minister of the state Basavaraj Bommai has canceled the programs on the occasion of completion of one year of his government on Thursday.

Bommai called an emergency press conference at 12.15 pm on Thursday night and informed that he has canceled the ‘Janotsav’ rally in Doddaballapur. BJP national president JP Nadda was to attend. Along with this, it has been decided to cancel the program to be held in the assembly as well.

Mother said – hang the killers
Here, the mother of the BJP leader said – whoever killed him should be hanged. He was our only son. I am not feeling well. Her father is also a heart patient. He was our last resort. There is no one left to fulfill our expectations.

Commando forces will be formed to deal with such incidents
Bommai also announced that the government has decided to form a Special Trained Commando Force in the state to eliminate anti-national and terrorist forces. This will be disclosed after talks with the officials.

Bommai said- There is anger in our hearts after this murder. My government completed one year and after BS Yediyurappa came to power, it has been 3 years of BJP rule. We had planned the Janotsav, but considering the pain of the victim’s mother and family, I have decided to cancel Thursday’s events.

Investigation can be handed over to NIA
Praveen had posted on social media in protest against the murder of Kanhaiyalal who was killed in Rajasthan on June 29. Police is also probing from this angle. So far 10 accused have been taken into custody. They are being interrogated. Bommai said that the culprits would be arrested soon. If needed, the case can also be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Police has formed 4 teams to arrest the accused. This district is adjacent to Kerala. Therefore, help is also being taken from the police there. After the murder, BJP workers demonstrated in Puttur, which continued till late in the night.

Praveen was a poultry trader, murdered at the shop itself
According to the police, Praveen has a poultry shop in Bellare area of ​​Dakshina Kannada district. On Tuesday, when Praveen was returning home after closing the shop, some people on a bike came and blocked his way. He attacked Praveen with an axe. They were seriously injured. Neighbors informed the police.

Police reached there and took Praveen to the hospital. Where doctors declared him brought dead. Praveen’s body was brought to his native village Nettru. Thousands of people were present during this.

BJP leader Praveen Nettar had posted a Facebook post opposing the killing of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur on June 29.
