Uttarakhand / Dehradun : If found roaming on the road unnecessarily at night, the police will take it to the police station, the SSP has given instructions for search and checking of suspicious persons, vehicles.

SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) Dalip Singh Kunwar has instructed all the officers and employees appointed in night duty to search and check suspicious persons, vehicles. Along with this, people who roam around unnecessarily at night have also been asked to bring them to the police station and verify them.
Action against those who are negligent in duty
All the officers and station in-charges will regularly check and brief the employees posted on night duty. The SSP said that he himself would do random checking at night. During this, action will be taken against those who are negligent in duty.
Will run awareness campaign to promote car pooling
During the seminar organized in his office, SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar said that in order to reduce the pressure of vehicles on the roads, the Superintendent of Police Traffic along with all the police station in-charges will conduct awareness campaign to promote car pooling.
The station in-charge will also work on manual policing along with CCTV and surveillance. Also, ensure that each beat constable collects information by visiting his beat for at least one hour every day. The station in-charge, who has done good work in the beat system, will be honored.
SSP also gave these instructions
- The policing of any district is assessed by looking at the traffic system of that district. Therefore, the entire responsibility of the smooth operation of the traffic system in all the police station and outpost areas will be of the police station and outpost in-charge.
- All the officers, traffic inspectors and station in-charges will visit the traffic-pressurized routes in their areas. In this, it will be assessed that where the cut is to be opened and traffic should be diverted on the route.
- For the smooth movement of traffic, at the time of opening and closing of schools and offices, station in-charges and outposts will be posted on the roads in their areas.
- A committee has been constituted by the District Magistrate to settle the matters related to land disputes. The committee will resolve the land related matters every Monday. All the police stations and outpost in-charges will make the general public aware in this regard in their police station areas.
