Uttarakhand : Five internal roads closed due to rain in Champawat

It was cloudy throughout the day in Champawat on Thursday. A total of 15 mm of rain was recorded in Banbasa and Champawat in the last 24 hours. Vehicular movement was stalled on five internal roads due to rain.

On Thursday, it was dark throughout the day in Champawat. Light rain occurred in some hilly areas. The sun was not visible as the sky was covered with clouds. This resulted in a drop in the temperature. According to the information received from the District Disaster Control Room, Banbasa recorded maximum 10 mm of rain and Champawat five mm in the last 24 hours. Here, five roads got debris due to rain. Due to this the vehicular movement was disrupted here. The District Disaster Control Room said that the Kamajula-Manar, Bardakhan-Raighadi, Gaudi-Kimtoli, Chalthi-Naulapani and Dhaun-Duri-Bajaun roads remained closed on Wednesday. Hundreds of villagers had to face difficulties due to the road closure.
