India beat Pakistan 5-0 in badminton, these players including PV Sindhu dominated

Veteran Indian badminton players thrashed Pakistan 5-0 in their first team match of the 22nd Commonwealth Games on Friday. The pair of B Sumeeth Reddy and Machimanda Ponnappa began their team’s journey in these games with a one-sided victory over Muhammad Irfan Saeed Bhatti and Ghazala Siddiqui 21-9, 21-12 in the mixed doubles match. Kidambi Srikanth took the mixed pair’s success further in the men’s singles match with an easy 21-7, 21-12 win over Murad Ali.

Indian players’ dominance continued in the women’s singles match as well where two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu had no trouble defeating Mahur Shahzad in the women’s singles match thereafter. Sindhu registered a resounding 21-7, 21-6 win.

After this, the pair of Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the next match 21-12 and 21-9, while in the last match, the pair of Tresa and Gayatri won their match 21-4, 21-5 to give Pakistan 5-0. Cleaned up.
