Uttarakhand : Government land occupied in Dehradun, case filed against two officers of Revenue Department

The game of grabbing government and non-government land is going on in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. After the land mafia in the state, now the names of government officials have also come to the fore. The latest case is of Kochhar Officer Colony located in Jakhan of Rajpur police station area. Where the collusion of two officers of the Revenue Department has come to the fore. At present, a case has been registered against both of them in Vigilance.

According to the information, a case has been registered in Vigilance against Satpal Kochhar and Krishna Kochhar, the officers/employees working in the then Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation and MDDA in the case of illegal occupation of government land in connivance with the concerned department. On the instructions of the Uttarakhand government, both the government employees have been prosecuted under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. In view of the seriousness of the matter, the Vigilance team has immediately started investigation.

Vigilance team collecting evidence: According to Dehradun Vigilance Headquarters, the investigation is going on in this matter. In the action taken so far, a high level team has been prepared after examining the documents and records provided to the investigator by the Revenue Department. The team is collecting evidence regarding the illegally occupied place by reaching the colony located at Jakhan. Not only this, the investigation is going on on the basis of evidence regarding the buildings constructed in it by encroaching upon the government land.
