Around Rs 50 crore recovered

The ED raided another apartment belonging to Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, in the city’s Chinar Park area late on Thursday evening. The ED raided Mukherjee’s flat a day after it recovered around Rs 28 crore in cash.

The central agency has already arrested Mukherjee in connection with the probe into the alleged school recruitment scam. Last week, the ED had seized unaccounted cash worth over Rs 21 crore from another flat in the city. In the raids so far, the ED has recovered around Rs 50 crore.
