Cash, gold and other valuables worth crores have been recovered from the residence of Arpita Mukherjee, an aide of former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in the teacher recruitment scam. Sex-toys have been recovered from one of the two flats in the raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The social media circuit has been scorched by a post by a popular Bengali actress.

On the developments, an ED official said, “We are trying to know whether the recovery of such items has any connection with the multi-crore scam. This is insignificant compared to the massive recovery of cash, gold and other documents.

‘Chatterjee’s weakness is known’
Meanwhile, a social media post by popular Bengali actress Srilekha Mitra has heated up the virtual world. He remarked that the presence of sex toys in Arpita Mukherjee’s residence reflects Chatterjee’s weakness. Sreelekha wrote in the post, ‘Was Parth a failure? The country wants to know.

Declared Left-leaning actress and a habitual friend of Trinamool Congress, Srilekha Mitra had ridiculed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee when she received a literary award from the West Bengal government for her collection of poems.

After the recent teacher recruitment scam came to light, Sreelekha Mitra also claimed that she could reveal the names of many more of Chatterjee’s confidants if she wanted. Meanwhile, mixed reactions are coming on social media regarding the latest developments. While some have trolled Sreelekha Mitra for taking the matter on a personal level by posting such a post, others have supported her and praised her for her ‘boldness’.
