Maharashtra: Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari clarified on the controversial statement of Rajasthani-Gujarati
The stir in the politics of Maharashtra, which has been quiet for the last several days, has intensified again. After the statement of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, his protest started here. His clarification has also come on this. Giving clarification, he has said that Mumbai is the pride of Maharashtra. It is also the economic capital of the country. I am proud that I got an opportunity to serve Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Marathi people as governor on this land. Because of this I tried to learn Marathi language in a very short time.
He further said that in the statement I made in the program of Rajasthani society yesterday, I had no intention to underestimate the Marathi man. I only talked about the contribution made by Gujarati and Rajasthani mandals to the profession. Marathi people worked hard and built Maharashtra. That is why many Marathi entrepreneurs are famous today. They are raising the Marathi flag on a large scale not only in Maharashtra, but in India and all over the world. So the question of underestimating the contribution of Marathi people does not arise.
Appreciation of one community is not an insult to another community
Bhagat Singh said that as usual, my statement was distorted. The hard work of Marathi people has contributed the most in the construction of Maharashtra. Recently the vision of seeing everything through political prism has evolved, we have to change that. Appreciating one community is not insulting another community. Political parties should not create controversy on this without any reason. At least Marathi people will never be insulted by me. Governor Koshyari has said that everyone has a contribution in the progress and development of this Marathi land made up of different castes and communities and the contribution of Marathi people is more.
BJP leader Ashish Shelar opposed the Governor’s statement
Actually, Bhagat Singh Koshyari had said in a program that if Gujaratis and Rajasthanis are removed from the state, then the state will not have money. BJP’s statement has also come on this matter. BJP leader Ashish Shelar has said that we do not agree with the statement of the Governor. Maharashtra and Mumbai stand with the hard work, sweat and martyrdom of the Marathi people. This is what our glorious history tells.
