Himachal Pradesh : Chamba’s Minjar fair got international status, CM Jai Ram Thakur announced

Minjar Fair is famous all over the world. This is the reason why this fair is known as International Minjar Fair. But this time it has been given the status of international level by CM Jairam Thakur. For this he has announced. He said that I am very sorry that the Chamba fair was not given international status till now. The Congress party has always been doing injustice to this district on this matter. He said that earlier this fair was called International Fair, but it was only in talks. It has not yet attained international status.

When the CM asked the district administration for complete information in this regard, he was surprised to know that the status of this fair is still at the national level. It has not been given international status. Sadar MLA Pawan Nayyar had also made a demand to give international status to this fair. While announcing this, the CM stamped his demand.

Earlier, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today launched the state level program Progressive Himachal. 75 years of establishment on the occasion of 75 years of formation of Himachal Pradesh from historic Chamba Chaugan. Addressing the people on this historic occasion, the Chief Minister said that it is a happy coincidence that this year the country is celebrating 75 years of its independence and Himachal Pradesh is also celebrating 75 years of its formation. He said that Himachal Pradesh has made incomparable development and progress in all the fields in these 75 years, the credit of which goes to every hardworking and honest person of the state. The people of the state worked with full dedication and commitment to make Himachal Pradesh one of the most progressive states of the country against various odds.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur congratulated the people of the state and especially all the residents of Chamba district for celebrating the historic Minjar Mela with full enthusiasm and traditional manner for centuries. He said that the Minjar festival is a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mann Ki Baat program today made a special mention of Chamba Minjar, Sawyer Fair and Jagra Mela being celebrated in the state.

A song based on 75 years of the formation of Himachal Pradesh was also released on this occasion. A documentary based on the glorious history of 75 years of Himachal Pradesh produced by the Department of Information and Public Relations was also screened. Earlier, the Chief Minister (CM) did the work of upgradation of Sillagharat road at a cost of Rs 13.68 crore, Model Career Center building of District Employment Office Chamba constructed at a cost of Rs 3.24 crore, building of Primary Health Center Dhulada at a cost of Rs 80 lakh. Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of residential buildings for the employees of State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to be constructed at Chamba at a cost of Rs.3.50 crore.
