Rain alert in nine states of the country Badra will rain heavily in these districts of UP

Heavy rain is expected in many parts of North India in the coming few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rain activity is likely to continue over Western Himalayas during the next five days. The Monsoon Trough lies north of its normal position at sea level. It is very likely to remain north of normalcy during the next four to five days. Under its influence, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower activities in Uttarakhand till August 3 and in Himachal Pradesh till July 31. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the speed of monsoon rains will increase in eastern India as well. From today till July 2, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms/lightning in different districts of Bihar and Jharkhand. At the same time, today and tomorrow there will be heavy rain in the Gangetic West region of Odisha, Bengal. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur during the next four days.

Heavy rain is also expected in Ayodhya, Shamli, Ghaziabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Amethi, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Lucknow and Bareilly. In these districts, good rains are expected in Begusarai, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Sheohar, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura and Saharsa.
