Uttar Pradesh : After the Bundelkhand Expressway, now the road of the bridge over the Ganges was opened in Hastinapur, one and a half years ago.

At Hastinapur in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the road of the bridge over the river Ganga collapsed, stopping the movement towards Bijnor. According to the news, the road which was built over the bridge, stones were to be installed on both sides of it to stop the erosion. But till now these stones were not found, due to which this accident happened. The bridge was inaugurated only about one and a half years ago and the foundation of the bridge was laid in the BSP government.

Let us tell you that the road built on the bridge over the river Ganges connects Hastinapur in Meerut with Chandpur. Chandpur falls in Bijnor district. As soon as the road towards Chandpur sank, the traffic from Meerut to Bijnor was completely affected. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the administrative officials also reached the spot and assured the people that the road would be repaired soon and there was no damage to the bridge.

Meanwhile, Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena told the local media that there was no damage to the bridge and the PWD department has been instructed to repair the road which is submerged. Within a week, this road will be repaired and whatever stones have to be installed to prevent erosion beside the bridge, that will also be completed.

Let us inform that before this, the Bundelkhand Expressway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But only 5 days after the inauguration, a part of the expressway near Jalaun broke down. It is said that due to heavy rains, the road was found submerged at several cut points of the expressway. Bundelkhand Expressway is the dream project of CM Yogi Adityanath. As soon as the officials got the information about the road collapse, the repair of the road started in a hurry.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the Yogi government on the collapse of Bundelkhand Expressway. Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, “This is a sample of the quality of BJP’s half-hearted development. On the other hand, the Bundelkhand Expressway was inaugurated by the big people that within a week, big pits of corruption came out on it. It is good that the runway was not built on it.
