All the ration dealers here have gone on strike due to non-receipt of proper honorarium, non-receipt of ration and additional cost of internet in the biometric process. Demonstrating vigorously in the District Supply Office, Sorghati Sarkari Sasta Galla Union President Manoj Pandey has spoken of mass resignation by the vendors if the demand is not met soon.
Regarding their demands, the Sorghati Union, while demonstrating in the office of the District Supply Officer, has informed the fulfillment officer Shyam Arya about its problems. Along with this, the employees have also been accused of indecency with the ration vendors.
1 lakh 14 thousand consumers of the district are expected to be affected due to the ration dealers going on strike. When the District Supply Officer Shyam Arya was talked to in this regard, he told that all the problems of the ration dealers at the district level will be resolved and those that have to be done from the government level have been made aware of them. There are 768 government ration shops in the district, which are on strike.
