Delhi : Manoj Tiwari got costly for breaking the law, fined Rs 41000 challan

In the capital Delhi, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has found it costly to ride a bike without a helmet. Delhi Police has cut a total challan of 41 thousand rupees against the MP and the vehicle owner. Manoj Tiwari has to pay a challan of Rs 21 thousand, then a fine of Rs 22 thousand has been imposed on the owner of the vehicle. The bike on which the MP was riding during the tricolor yatra neither had a high security number plate nor was the PUC certificate updated. Due to these lapses, huge challans have been deducted.
In fact, on Wednesday, BJP leaders actively participated in the tricolor rally in Delhi. During this, the leaders came out on a bike with the tricolor in their hands. Many leaders including Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirhua, Manoj Tiwari, Nishikant Dubey went out on the streets without helmets. Seeing the MPs breaking the rules like this, many people raised questions and complained to the traffic police on Twitter. It was asked whether the challan will be deducted only for the public, MPs have the freedom to break the law?
Delhi Police spokesperson Suman Nalwa said, “We have challaned the driver for helmet, licence, pollution and High Security Number Plate (HSRP) violation, the challan amount is Rs 21,000. Whereas a challan of Rs 20,000 has been imposed on the owner of the vehicle for not having pollution certificate and security number plate.
Let us inform that Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with Union Ministers Prahlad Joshi and Piyush Goyal flagged off the tricolor bike rally. Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, Dharmendra Pradhan and many Union ministers and MPs were seen waving the tricolor while sitting on bikes. Most of the leaders also took care of the traffic rules and were seen wearing helmets. However, some leaders were seen riding bikes with a turban or saffron gamchha on their heads.
