Uttar Pradesh / Prayagraj : Son’s body on shoulder and home 25 km away

A picture that shames humanity has come to light in Prayagraj, popularly known as Sangam Nagari in Uttar Pradesh. After the death of a 14-year-old boy, an ambulance was not found to carry his dead body. In such a situation, the father was forced to carry on his shoulder.  Son Keshav had to be carried for 25 kms.

This case is from SRN Hospital in Prayagraj. On Tuesday, the father had reached his son for treatment. He died during the treatment. After the death of the child, the family members started preparing to take his body back home,  But the ambulance was not available in the hospital.Even after making lakhs of requests, the hospital administration did not arrange for an ambulance.

Being financially weak, the family could not afford a private ambulance.  In such a situation, the father traveled 25 kilometers from the hospital to his village in the Karchana police station area, carrying the son’s body on his shoulder.  During this, some people made a video of the father carrying the child’s body on his shoulder.

In this case, Prayagraj Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant has spoken of a high-level inquiry. He said that those found guilty in this will be punished.
