Will the new Alto look like the Celerio? These features are similar to the S-Presso

One of the most successful models of Maruti Suzuki, the new model of Alto is ready to enter the Indian car market. It is expected that the company can launch the next generation Alto on August 18. Alto will be launched in two models 800 and K10 and its spy shots have also surfaced. In this, it looks similar to the Celerio.

Alto K10 Model Many Changes
The K10 model of Maruti’s new Alto is seen with many changes. Talking about its exterior, it looks similar to Maruti’s Celerio. A few days back, some pictures of the Alto surfaced during an ad shoot for the car. In these, a blurred photo of the rear-three-quarter angle of the car is visible. But, looking at this, it can be said that the new Alto is very similar to the second-gen Celerio launched in late 2021. On the other hand, some features of S-Presso will be seen in Alto 800.

Celerio will see many features
The tail lamps and rear windscreen and C-pillar are clear indications that the new Alto K10 will get many of the Celerio features. After the arrival of these pictures, it is also being expected that the new Maruti Alto will be slightly larger than the current generation Alto. It is being said about the next generation Alto that its boot space and ground clearance are also expected to be higher. Maruti discontinued the Alto K10 in April 2020 after the implementation of BS6 emission norms.

Engine to Design Variation
Testing of the third generation model of Alto has also been done by Maruti Suzuki India. The leaked pictures of the car have also got a glimpse of it during testing. Which makes it clear that many changes have been made in the new Alto from the engine to its design. The new Alto is based on the modular Heartect platform. Celerio and WagonR are also present in the market with this platform.

The company gave a new design to the bumper
In terms of looks, however, the new Alto will be very similar to the old model. But looking at the leaked pictures, the bumper has been given a new design. This change will show a change in the look of the car. Along with the new cabin, it will see updated headlamps and Square-ish tail lamps at the rear. Apart from this, the Alto will also get flap-type door handles and power-operated black ORVMs as well as a large radiator grille.

Will come in two engine options
Now let’s talk about the next feature, then two engine options can be found in the new Alto. It is expected to be launched with the new 1.0L DualJet petrol engine. Which generates power of 67hp and maximum torque of 89Nm. Apart from this, the Alto can come with the already existing 796cc petrol unit, which generates 47hp power and 69Nm maximum torque. Talking about the interiors, things like big touchscreen system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, idle start/stop will be included.
