Fadnavis left for Delhi to discuss cabinet expansion, CM Eknath Shinde’s health unwell

The cabinet, which has been stuck for more than a month in Maharashtra, can be expanded on Friday. State Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has left for Delhi to discuss cabinet expansion. Here the names of the ministers will be discussed with the BJP leadership. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Office said that Eknath Shinde is feeling unwell.

The CMO said, “The Chief Minister was feeling unwell due to being more busy for the last few days. So he has decided to take rest for a day.” His official program for Thursday has been cancelled.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is constantly facing criticism from opposition parties for the delay in cabinet expansion. Regarding this, Shinde had said on Tuesday that even though the state may not have a full cabinet, the government is working efficiently.

He said that the expansion of the cabinet will happen soon. At present, Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are the only two members in the state cabinet. Both took oath on June 30.

Who will become the leader?

According to sources, an agreement has been reached between Shinde faction and BJP regarding cabinet expansion in Maharashtra. Sources said that eight leaders from BJP and seven from Eknath Shinde faction can take oath as ministers.

BJP can make Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Girish Mahajan, Praveen Darekar, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Ravi Chavan, Babanrao Lonikar and Nitesh Rane as ministers. On the other hand, Dada Bhuse, Uday Samant, Deepak Kesarkar, Shambhu Raje Desai, Sandipan Bhumre, Sanjay Shirsatho, Abdul Sattar and Bachchu Kadu or Ravi Rana may become ministers from the Shinde camp.
