The scope of the ED investigation in the education scam is increasing. With that increasing scope, new revelations are also being made every day. One such disclosure has happened with Arpita Mukherjee. She had a total of 31 policies of LIC. The big thing is here. That the nominee Parth Chatterjee came out in all these policies. Now Parth’s nomination in Arpita’s policy has raised many questions in the mind of the investigating agency.
All this information has been received from the remand copy of the ED, in which it has also been disclosed that both Parth and Arpita were partners in APA utility company. Arpita had even bought some flats by paying cash. Now whose money was it, from where did Arpita take it? Arranged for it, ED is investigating it. Right now Arpita Mukherjee and Partha Chatterjee are in ED custody till August 5. During the investigation, the agency has got enough evidence against both.
The ED has taken action against Arpita on several occasions. His three to four properties have been raided. On July 27 also, the ED took action on another property of Arpita. In that action, 27 crore cash and 4.31 crore gold were seized. The big thing is that the ED has also taken 4 necklaces, 18 earrings during the investigation. In the previous raids too, from foreign currency to documents of fake companies, the ED had seized a lot. Now all the evidence is being found, but Partha Chatterjee is not cooperating with the investigating agency. The cash that Arpita is telling of Partha Chatterjee, the former minister is simply denying those claims.
By the way, for now Partha Chatterjee has also been isolated by the TMC. His address was cleared from the cabinet several days ago. Now Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also formed her new team, in which all Keeping the equations in mind, new faces have been given a chance.
