Jaishankar gave a befitting reply to China’s threat on Taiwan with ‘Manmohan Policy’, Pakistan bowed before the dragon

India has given a befitting reply by keeping silent to China who threatens about the one China policy. While countries like China’s debt-ridden Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have openly supported the ‘One China policy’ after the Taiwan crisis, India has not given any statement on this whole matter. Not only this, China, through its ‘economic slaves’ like Pakistan, tried to create an environment in the world and get open support for the ‘One China Policy’. India dashed the hopes of China. At the same time, India has not criticized China like the G7 countries in view of the sensitive issue of border talks.
According to the report of The Hindu, India has not made any statement in support of the ‘One China Policy’ for the last decade in view of the Chinese dragon’s depravity. It is being told that India has not given any statement in this whole matter with great care. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the ASEAN event but did not make any statement on the Taiwan crisis. Officials and experts say that India has deliberately not made any statement on the Taiwan issue. India has saved itself from any dispute in view of the tension between America and Taiwan in this whole matter.
India stops mentioning ‘One China Policy’
India has not mentioned the ‘One China Policy’ even once since 2010. On Thursday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the ASEAN-India Summit and met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Foreign Ministers of Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Jaishankar described the meeting as a warm one. He said that in this conversation, talks on Corona, terrorism, cyber security, Ukraine and Myanmar. He made no mention of the situation in Taiwan. A former Indian official said on India’s silence, ‘India’s absolute silence on the situation in Taiwan is probably the best answer.’
India has been following the one China policy since 1949 and has indicated that it does not recognize anyone other than the government of Beijing. At the same time, India has maintained only trade and cultural relations with Taiwan. Meanwhile, India has stopped mentioning the One China policy in official statements and joint declarations since 2008. Actually, China had started telling Arunachal Pradesh as its territory at that time and started renaming many areas of the state. It started issuing staple visas to Indian citizens of Arunachal and Jammu and Kashmir.
Manmohan government gave a strong answer to China’s nefarious move
After this, India took a strong step and did not mention the ‘One China Policy’ in the joint statements issued after the meeting of the then Indian PM Manmohan Singh with the then Chinese President Hu Jintao and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao in 2010. At that time it was recognized that when China is not understanding the sensitivity of India, then why should we repeat the ‘One China Policy’. A retired official said that this was not a change in policy but a decision not to repeat the One China policy. The Manmohan Singh government had clearly said that if China wants India to follow its One China policy, then it will also have to follow the policy of ‘One India’. After this, when the Modi government came in 2014, Sushma Swaraj also continued on this strategy against China. India has given a strong message to China by sticking to this policy even in the latest Taiwan crisis.
