Three years of removal of Article 370 from Kashmir… 174 soldiers martyred, 124 common people also lost their lives
Today, three years have been completed since the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. After the removal of Article 370, there has been a decrease in terrorist incidents. Along with this, no civilian and jawan died in the law and order incident. There has also been a decrease in the number of deaths of common people in terrorist incidents.
Comparing the incidents of 3 years before and after the abrogation of Article 370, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has informed that there has been a decrease in terrorist incidents in the Kashmir zone. The police have divided these cases into six categories.
Of these, 3,686 incidents of law and order occurred between August 5, 2016 and August 4, 2019, only 438 between August 5, 2019 and August 4, 2022. Apart from this, 124 civilians died in law and order incidents three years before the abrogation of 370, which became zero after the special status was removed. Apart from this, six soldiers were also martyred in such incidents, but no jawan has died after 2019.
Before the removal of 370, 290 soldiers were martyred
Talking about terrorist incidents in Kashmir, there were a total of 930 incidents between August 5, 2016 and August 4, 2019, which came down to 617 after the removal of 370. In these terrorist incidents, 290 soldiers were martyred and 191 civilians were killed before 370 was implemented, 3 years after the abrogation of Article 370, 174 soldiers were martyred and 110 people were killed.
Terrorists attacked a day before the anniversary
A day before the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists attacked in Pulwama. Terrorists attacked non-Kashmiri laborers by throwing grenades. In this incident, one worker died, while 2 people were injured, after which the security forces have cordoned off the entire area.
Section 370 was removed on 5 August 2019
The Narendra Modi government at the Center had removed Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, on August 5 in the year 2019, the opposition parties are continuously opposing the removal of Article 370. Regional parties PDP and National Conference are continuously demanding the restoration of Article 370. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has been constantly saying that the situation in Kashmir has worsened due to the abrogation of Article 370, while National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah says that the BJP has done the work of dividing India by removing Article 370.
