After the Nirbhaya incident, the rapist was hanged, so the cases of murder increased after the rape: Rajasthan CM Gehlot

A statement given by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot regarding rape has become a topic of discussion. Gehlot has said that after the Nirbhaya case, the law of hanging for the culprits has come, due to which there has been an increase in the incidents of murder after rape. He said that this dangerous trend seen in the country is a matter of concern.

After the statement of CM Gehlot, BJP leaders have started attacking him. BJP’s national spokesperson Shahzad Jaihind has targeted Gehlot while referring to his statement. Shahzad said, ‘Gehlot blamed the rapists not the strict rape laws! He said- After Nirbhaya, due to the tightening of the law, the murders related to rape increased! Not the first such statement! He has also said that most of the rape cases are fake! His minister said that it is the land of the dead that’s why rapes happen’ but Priyankaji is silent?’.

Shahzad further said that Priyanka Vadra is silent even though Rajasthan tops in the case of atrocities on women. Even after giving statements on the rape of many leaders, they are silent, because from riots to rape, the law and order of Rajasthan has gone out of hand.
