People living in these parts of the country should be alert! IMD’s warning – heavy rain going to happen

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for North Konkan, North Central Maharashtra, East and West Vidarbha on Tuesday. While issuing the warning, the Meteorological Department has predicted many very heavy rains. People need to be careful.It is believed that relief can be given after August 12.
Parts of Maharashtra have been witnessing rain since Sunday. The Meteorological Department has made it clear that heavy rains will continue in the coming times as well. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had also issued an orange alert for Marathwada, South Central Maharashtra and South Maharashtra.
The IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the state, while very heavy rains may occur at isolated places as well. On Tuesday morning, there was heavy rain with strong winds in Mumbai. Officials said some low-lying areas like the Andheri Metro were inundated, forcing the authorities to divert traffic to alternate routes.
Heavy rains started in Mumbai from Monday midnight and increased intensity with strong winds on Tuesday morning. The Meteorological Department issues four color-coded predictions based on the prevailing weather systems. Green color does not indicate any warning, Yellow is of alert. Means to keep watch, orange alert means to be alert, while red alert means that action needs to be taken.
