Terrorist organizations are constantly trying to carry out any major incident to shake the country before Independence Day. Intelligence agencies are alert and Indian security forces are resolutely thwarting the nefarious designs of terrorists. The attempt to infiltrate the army camp in Rajouri reminds us of the Uri attack.
Let us tell you that on the same lines, terrorists had attacked the sleeping Indian soldiers by entering the local headquarters of the Indian Army near the LoC in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on 18 September 2016. The terrorists opened fire on the sleeping soldiers and used 17 hand grenades. 16 soldiers of the army were martyred in this terrorist attack. The terrorists were said to be of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization. In the encounter that lasted for about six hours, the Indian Army had killed all the four terrorists. This was the biggest attack on the Indian Army in 20 years. Ten days later, on the intervening night of 28-29 September, the Indian Army had destroyed the hideouts of the terrorists by entering three kilometers inside PoK with full planning.
