Incident within 24 hours of attack on military camp
This case of targeted killing has come to light within 24 hours of the unsuccessful attempt of terrorists to infiltrate the army camp in Rajouri. On Thursday, terrorists carried out a suicide attack on an army camp, in which four soldiers were martyred. Two terrorists were also killed in retaliatory action by the security forces.
The attack marks the return of ‘fidayeen’ (suicide attackers) in Jammu and Kashmir after a gap of almost three years. Police said that both the terrorists are believed to be associated with Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Police said the terrorists were armed with deadly ‘steel core’ bullets and both the terrorists were killed in an encounter that lasted for more than four hours.
