Two terrorists associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban and Jaish-e-Mohammed arrested, preparations were made to kill Nupur Sharma

UP ATS has got a big success before Independence Day. ATS has arrested two terrorists from Saharanpur. The ATS had received information that the arrested terrorists were planning a major attack on Independence Day. One of the arrested terrorists is named Mohammad Nadeem who was in direct contact with Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tehrikh-e-Taliban. He was given the task of killing Nupur Sharma, but the terrorists were caught before the task was completed.

One mobile, two SIMs and training literature have been recovered from the possession of Nadeem, a resident of Kunda Kala village located in Gangoh police station area of ​​Saharanpur district. The recovered literature includes various types of IEDs and techniques for making bombs and training courses related to fidayeen attacks. During interrogation, it was revealed that Nadeem was in direct contact with JeM and TTP terrorists and was preparing for fidayeen attack. The ATS has registered a case against him under sections 121A and 123 of the IPC and sections 13, 18 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at its Lucknow police station.

In view of the possibility of terrorist incidents on the occasion of Independence Day, keeping all the teams of ATS alert, the suspects are being monitored. Meanwhile, the ATS received intelligence inputs from allied agencies that a person in Saharanpur, influenced by the ideology of GEM and TTP, is preparing for a fidayeen attack. Acting immediately on this sensitive information, Muhammad Nadeem was identified and questioned. A preliminary inspection of the mobile phone received from him found a PDF document titled ‘Explosive Course Fide Force’. Apart from this, chaps and voice messages were also received from Nadeem’s phone from JeM and TPP terrorists of Pakistan and Afghanistan. When asked about this, Nadeem said that since 2018, he was in touch with various terrorists of both the organizations through social media channels like WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Facebook Messenger and Clubhouse.

Nadeem was about to go to Pakistan for training

During interrogation, Nadeem told the ATS that JeM and TPP terrorists operating in Afghanistan and Pakistan were calling him to Pakistan for special training. He was about to go to Pakistan with a visa, where he would take JeM’s terrorist training. At the same time he was also planning to go to Syria and Afghanistan via Egypt. Nadeem also admitted that a terrorist from Pakistan’s Gem had given him the task of killing Nupur Sharma.

There was also a plan for a fidayeen attack on a government building or a police complex

ADG ATS Naveen Arora, under the supervision of ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, along with his entire team is trying to trace some of his Indian links received from Nadeem. During interrogation, the ATS has also got information that it has received training from Pakistani terrorists to create virtual numbers. Nadeem has provided these terrorists by creating more than 30 virtual numbers and virtual social media IDs. TTP terrorist Saifullah (Pakistani) had provided training literature for the fidayeen attack to Nadeem through social media. After reading this, he was in the process of collecting material related to it, so that he could carry out a fidayeen attack on any government building or police premises.
